Graduation, Wedding, Long Run, & Zoo Oh My!

So much has happened since my last post. My 5 year old graduated from Preschool.

We flew to Seattle and arrived late Friday night.
Went and participated in my good friend from high school's wedding on Saturday. It was in a very pretty location near Leavenworth, WA at the Brown Family Homestead.
The wedding was so much fun! I love how weddings bring family and friends together in one place to share and celebrate a couple taking the next step. I loved watching the ceremony as it made me think of my wedding almost 6 years ago. Another part of the wedding I liked was the dancin' fun. :) Below is my favorite pic from the wedding as it is me and the bride (she's one of my best friends from high school).
I was supposed to run on Sunday but I was so tired from the previous events and adjusting to West Coast time that I just couldn't do it, so I did it today instead.
I really enjoyed running on the Burke Gilman trail. It is so nice being back in WA! I ran from my brother's house in Kenmore, onto the trail, through Log Boom Park to 112th Street and then back. Loved how Lake Washington was right there. It's a nice route. It was my 11 mile training long run and I felt pretty good. The weather was absolutely perfect! There was a nice breeze that cooled me the whole way. I'm hoping the weather will be like this for the Seattle Rock and Roll Half marathon on the 21st.

Here is my training schedule for the week according to Hal Higdon's intermediate program. It has definitely been modified since I did my long run today:
Monday - Stretch & Strengthen 11 mile run
Tuesday -5 mile run  Stretch & Strengthen
Wednesday -10 x 400 5K pace 5 mile run
Thursday - 3 mile run & strength 10 X 400 5K pace
Friday - rest 3 mile run plus strength
Saturday - 3 mile pace rest
Sunday - 12 mile run

Today we also went to the Woodland Park Zoo. The kiddos had a blast with their cousin. Here are some of my favorite pics of them at the Zoo.
Did you have a good weekend?
