Last Week's Workouts and Weekend Update 6/15-6/21

Here's a recap of last week's workouts:

Monday 6/15 - Rest.

Tuesday 6/16 - 4 mile run.
Did a little swimming. So happy I swam a lap without stopping.
Wednesday 6/17 - Biked 10 miles on the canal trail. First long ride on the bike in a long time. It went well.
Thursday 6/18 - 3 mile run.
Friday 6/19 - 2.4 mile jog/walk to the playground while the kiddos biked or rode their scooter.
Saturday 6/20 - 7 miles with friends.
Sunday 6/21 - Rest.

I took it a bit easier this week but I'm happy I got a little more cross training in. With some swimming and the long bike ride, it was fun to do something different from what I had been doing all year. I hope to get better in swimming because that right now is my weakness.

As to the weekend, it was pretty good. It started out with an early morning run with the ladies. We did a good 7 miles on the canal trail.
Our 6 year old was supposed to have his last T-ball game that day but they ended up canceling the game due to the rain forecast but the rain never did come. However, they did have a short little awards ceremony where they got these cute trophies.
And the kiddos did get to play at the playground. My kiddos love American Ninja warrior and always like to pretend they are on the show when they are at the playground. :)
After the T-ball awards ceremony, I figured it would be a good time to get a short hike in for the #hike2015 challenge with @mtnmamatales @hikelikeawoman. The forecast for Sunday was rain pretty much all day. This week's challenge was to hike with a friend and this is a pic with my best friend (Hubby). Thanks goes to my 6 year old for taking the pic. :)
Sunday was of course Father's day. Hubby woke up with the kiddos giving their gifts from school and our 6 year old sang some cute songs. We didn't plan much because of the rain forecast. But again the rain never came and with it being pretty warm out, we hit the pool to play.
After dinner at Hubby's favorite place to get Bibimbap (Asian Bistro) we hit the courts to place some b-ball.
We also played a little soccer and afterwards we all ran a lap around the fields.
That sums up the weekend! Linking this post up with Tara at Running N’ Reading for her Weekend Update.

Good job for stepping (swimming) outside of your comfort zone. That's awesome! :) That picture of you and your husband is great. Your son takes after you in the picture department for sure! :)

  7. Thanks Katie!! Yeah, American Ninja Warrior is pretty awesome but like you I could never do. They make it look so easy but it is really tough what they do.

  9. Thanks Hailey!! Swimming is something I am really bad at so I figure the best way to get better is to do it more often. :)

  10. Thanks Jenny! Swimming is so hard for me! I must be doing something wrong if I'm tired so fast right? Anyhow with swimming I just figure I need to do it more to get better!
