Brooklyn RnR Half Marathon Training Week 9 & Weekly Wrap 9/7-9/13

Sorry for the later than usual post, but I just did not have it all together this weekend. Not so much busy, but just tired. I even took two naps! I haven't been getting the 7-8 hours of sleep I should be getting and I think it caught up with me. I just needed a bit more rest which caused the slight delay. :)

Here's the recap of last week's workouts:

Monday 9/7 - 4.5 mile run.
Tuesday 9/8 - 40 minute tempo run.
Wednesday 9/9 - 3 mile run and bosu total body workout.
Thursday 9/10 - Rest
Friday 9/11 - 5 mile run.
Saturday 9/12 - 10 mile long run.
Sunday 9/13 - Rest

I'd say I had an ok week of training. I got in some good runs and I am very happy with the training schedule change. I am more confident while running and not stressed. However, I did not get in as much crosstraining as I had hoped this week. I did get in an awesome bosu workout. Speaking of bosu, I hope that you will be joining me in the #BOSUStrong Challenge that is going on this week. You can check out my post with all the prompts here.

As to the weekend, it was pretty good. On Saturday, I got my 10 mile long run in the morning and I was very happy with it. I felt pretty strong up until the last 2 miles or so but I pushed through.
The rest of the day was consumed by soccer. 4 year old's game was in the morning and 6 year old's was in the afternoon.
Sunday we took the Kiddos to a trampoline park. I bought a groupon online because I saw that it had a Ninja Warrior obstacle course. The kiddos love that show so I figured it would be great to check out. They had a blast jumping on the trampolines and also trying out the obstacle course. Post of their experience will be on the blog soon!
That sums up my week. Linking this post up with HoHo Runs and MissSippiPiddlin for their Weekly Wrap. Have a great week!
