Shamrock'n Half Marathon Training Week 5: 1/29-2/4

Week 5 is in the books! It was a busy week with Hubby gone for most of it but I managed. The week started out not so great, getting a cold and not feeling well, but I recovered quickly and got some runs in. Cross training was bad this week but I'm hoping the upcoming week will be better with Hubby back from his work trip.

Here's a recap of what I did last week:

Monday 1/29 - I was hoping to do some cross training today but it turned out to be a rest day. Wasn't feeling great so I took the day off.
Tuesday 1/30 - 10 minute w/u, ladder workout 6-4-2-4-6 minutes with 1 minute recovery, 10 minute c/d.
Wednesday 1/31 - 5 miles easy
Thursday 2/1 - Another rest day. With Hubby out of town, I couldn't get up early for a run and I just didn't have energy later in the day for a workout.
Friday 2/2 - 3 miles with a friend.
Saturday 2/3 - Rest day. I was supposed to get in 7 miles but with Hubby out of town, that did not happen.
Sunday 2/4 - 3 miles with the boys.
I can't believe it's February already. January was a good month. Got in 120 miles for the month! It's a great start for 2018!
As to the weekend, it was pretty darn busy, especially on Saturday. I ended up having to take the boys to all three sports events and they were all right after each other. The morning started out with 8 year old's soccer game.
Then we headed straight to his basketball game.
Then we headed to 6 year old's basketball.
Highlights for Sunday were running 3 miles with the boys.
Then of course the Superbowl. We went to a friends house and enjoyed watching the game there. The kids also had a blast playing foursquare with friends. I even won $40 in the squares game. :)
That pretty much sums up my week! Linking this post up with HoHo Runs and Taking the Long Way Home for their Weekly Wrap.
Have a great week!
