Seattle Rock'N'Roll Half Marathon Training Week 10: 6/6-6/13

It was a decent week of training for Rock 'N' Roll Seattle coming up this weekend. I'm getting excited for the run and running with Team Triumph! If you missed my last post on why it won't be a goal race but a rewarding one, you can check it out here. This week I had to modify a bit with our backpacking trip over the weekend so I missed one of the shorter runs, but I did get in my long run which I felt was more important and I'm counting backpacking as my cross-training this week.

Here's a recap of last week's workouts:

Monday 6/6 - Rest
Tuesday 6/7 - 4.6 miles with a friend
Wednesday 6/8 - 5.8 miles with friends
Thursday 6/9 - Rest
Friday 6/10 - 10 mile long run in the morning, then backpacked to Shealor Lake with the fam.
Saturday 6/11 - Hiking
Sunday 6/12 - Hiking

Backpacking over the weekend was definitely the highlight of the week. We left Friday afternoon towards Shealor Lake which is South of Lake Tahoe. We went for two nights and had a blast! It was great because we went with some friends which created an even better experience. We had fun going on short hikes and just exploring the areas around the lake. Here are a few pics from the trip but the full trip report should be up later this week.
We headed back home Sunday morning and got back around lunch time. We cleaned up, got a quick lunch and headed to a friends pool. It was fun and as always the kiddos had a blast.
We ended the afternoon with some yummy Italian Ice.
That sums up my week! Linking this post up with HoHo Runs and MissSippiPiddlin for their Weekly Wrap.

Have a great week!
