Hiking Wyanokie High Point with the Fam Trip Report

It was a beautiful Sunday and we wanted to go for a hike, so Hubby came up with Wyanokie High Point in Ridgewood, NJ to check out. It is labeled as one of the best hikes in NJ on njhiking.com. It is a part of the Norvin Green State Forest. We actually visited the area last year when we did Torne Mountain/Osio Rock. We had such a great time at that hike, we were hoping it would be just as good or better.

Sourland Mountain Preserve Family Hike Trip Report

Some friends invited us out to hike with them to the Sourland Mountain Preserve and we were happy to join them. We had not been there in a couple of years so it was nice to explore it once again. The Sourland Mountain Preserve is located in the Hillsborough Township, in New Jersey and is about a 27 minute drive from home. It's nice that it's another hike not too far from us.

Battle of Trenton and Princeton History Tour

Hubby is a history buff and I enjoy learning about it, so he brought up the idea of going on a history tour in our backyard, well not actually our backyard but in the vicinity. We live in Princeton and not many know that there is lots of history here and in the surrounding areas. With the help of the Hidden Trenton website, Hubby learned a lot about our area's history and took us on a tour (driving and walking). If you do the tour, I highly recommend printing out the pdf of the Guides to the Battles of Trenton and Princeton because there is lots of great information there.

Last Week's Workouts and Weekend Update 5/25-5/31

My next scheduled race is not until the fall, the Brooklyn Rock N Roll Half marathon, so I won't be on a training plan until July or August. I must say it is pretty nice to not have to follow any type of schedule.

Here's a recap of last week's workouts:
