Davis Turkey Trot 5K w/ the Fam 11/23/19

Here's another very late race recap but I figure it's better late than never. I ran the Davis Turkey Trot 5K with my 8 year old. Hubby ran it too but raced it on his own. The Turkey trot 5K was a great race for us! It's my second time doing the race. I ran it with my eldest son in 2016 and you can read the recap here. It was so fun to run it with my youngest this time and he definitely surprised me at the finish on this one. :)

Tunnel Light Marathon Race Recap 9/15/19

I ran my 6th marathon at the Tunnel Light Marathon in North Bend, WA in September (yes, this post is way late but I actually wrote it up at the airport but never posted it due to not getting the pics organized). It was my second time running this course. I ran it last year and you can check out my recap here. It was great because my sister and friend Lenora ran it again too. This was my backup race in case I didn't qualify for Boston at Revel Mt. Hood marathon. I was hoping I could qualify again since this race counts for 2020 and 2021 but mentally I wasn't in the race. However both my sister and Lenora wanted to qualify so it turned out to be an exciting race for them!

Davis Moonlight Run 5K with the Fam 7/13/19

Davis Moonlight Run 5K with the Fam
This post is long overdue but I wanted to get it done before I posted about my marathon (Tunnel Light) I did last weekend. In July, I ran the Davis Moonlight run with my 8 year old. The whole fam ran the 5k but Hubby and my other son ran ahead of us. It turned out to be a great night of running for the whole fam!

Revel Mt. Hood Marathon Race Recap 6/29/19

Revel Mt. Hood Marathon Race Recap
I ran Revel Mt. Hood Marathon last month and what a race! Another fast downhill course that came with a surprising fast PR and Boston qualifying time for me! I still can't believe the time I ran on this beautiful course that started at Timberline lodge right on Mt. Hood in Oregon and finished at the Rainbow Trout Farm.

Epic Rock Tahoe Half Marathon Race Recap

Epic Rock Tahoe Half Marathon Race Recap
Last month I ran the Epic Rock Tahoe Half MarathonIf you recall, back in March I wrote a post about being a part of the #sweatpink team and the 5 things I was looking forward to for this race. You can check out that post hereIt was a lot more challenging course-wise for me but other than that it did not disappoint. One of the best things that I enjoyed about this race was meeting and hanging out with the Sweatpink/Fitapproach crew!

Yosemite Half Marathon Race Recap 5/11/19

Yosemite Half Marathon Race Recap 5/11/19
Wow! The Yosemite Half Marathon course put on by Vacation Races is a fast one! I ran this last month with my sister and some friends and it was a PR for all of us. Well for one it was her first half so she automatically PR'd but for the rest, we PR'd significantly. :) It was so much fun and a great racecation getaway!

I ran the Shamrock'n Half Marathon in Sacramento on St. Patrick's Day this year. It was my first time racing it and it went great! I did run the race last year with a friend for fun, you can read last year's recap here. For this one, I wanted to race it and my goal was to get under 1:50 (my previous PR was 1:50:24).

Davis Stampede 5K Race Recap 2/24/19

Davis Stampede 5K Race Recap
Last month I ran the Davis Stampede 5K. It was my first time this year racing a 5K since last summer (Womens Fitness Festival 5K). I don't run a lot of 5K's so I knew it was going to be interesting. My goal this time was to get sub 24 and with the help of Coach Dawn and more speed work, I got it! :)

2018 Year in Running Review

2018 Year in Running Review
It's been another amazing year! I didn't run as many races as last year, I think one less but again it was a great year. You can check out what I did in 2017 here. 2018 came with more PR's and even a Boston qualifying time. I'm so thankful and grateful for everything that made this year go so well.
