NYC Half Marathon Training Week 7: 2/2-2/8

Here's a recap of last week's workouts:


Monday 2/2 - First day of the the #prana #sweatpink #TaketheLeap 30 day yoga challenge so I did an hour of beginner's yoga. 
Tuesday 2/3 - 4.5 mile run
My downward dog that needs improvement.
Wednesday 2/4 - Some speed work, 8x400's at 5K pace with a warm up and cool down jog.

Thursday 2/5 - 3 mile run with friends.

Saturday 2/7 - 4 miles
Crescent lunge
Sunday 2/8 - 9 mile long run. It felt really good! Maybe it had to do with the warmer temps as it was 40 degrees! Hehe it's not actually warm, but warmer than it has been in a while!

It has been an ok week. I probably could have done more in the cross training department but I just didn't have the time or energy for it. Most important, I got all the training runs I needed in. I also did at least 5 minutes of yoga a day. I'm really liking yoga so far. I even attempted crow yesterday and held it for 1 second. :p I'm just happy I held it. 

A little less than 5 and a half weeks before the NYC Half. I know it's getting closer because my long runs are getting longer. :)
