NYC Half Marathon Training Week 8: 2/9-2/15

Here's a recap of last week's workouts:

Monday 2/9 - PiYo Sweat
Tuesday 2/10 - 4.5 mile run
Wednesday 2/11 - 40 minute run
Thursday 2/12 - 3 mile run with a friend.

Friday 2/13 - T25 Beta Rip't Circuit
Saturday 2/14 - 10 mile long run
Sunday 2/15 - Rest day

I would say this was another ok week. I did get in PiYo and a T25 workout this week so I'm happy about that. However, I did have to skip out on a shorter run on Saturday to do my 10 mile long run. I decided to make the switch when I found out that the weather on Sunday was going to be in negative degrees with the windchill. I'm so glad that I changed my long run day to Saturday as it was definitely a lot colder on Sunday, bone chilling cold! I really just want the cold weather to go away. I am looking forward to warmer temperatures and can't wait till I can wear a tank top outside again.

The #prAna #sweatpink #TaketheLeap yoga challenge has been going well. I've been doing at least 5 minutes a day and learning new poses. I must say that some of poses are pretty challenging for me due to my inflexibility but I'm trying my best.

How was your week?

  2. Thanks Caroline! haha yeah, the cold and snow is not fun! I'm really glad that I'm doing the challenge. Even just 5 minutes a day has helped me.

  3. I'm also running the NYC Half - this weather is really killing my training plan! Ran 8 miles on a treadmill today and thought I was going to pull my hair out. :) I'm inspired by your midweek runs, though - will have to try and get out more this week!
