Lucky Run Half Marathon Training 2/22-2/28

Here's a recap of last week's workouts:

Monday 2/22 - Rest
Tuesday 2/23 - 5 miles
Wednesday 2/24 - PiYo Sweat
Thursday 2/25 - 5 miles
Friday 2/26 - 3 miles
Saturday 2/27 - Rest
Sunday 2/28 - T25 Alpha Cardio
This week was a lot better than the last! I started to feel a lot better the day after the Davis Stampede 10K. I still had a cough throughout the week but it was a lot more bearable. It was so nice to have actual energy to run again. I'm pretty happy with the runs I did this week, however with Hubby away at a conference since Thursday, I could not get my long run in (training called for 10 miles). My next half marathon is the Davis Lucky Run on 3/19. I'm hoping to get a somewhat long run in on Tuesday.

So the Lucky Run is my next half but I've got a short 8K on schedule this upcoming weekend in San Jose. I'll be doing the San Jose 408K on Sunday.

There is still time to sign up. Use can use code REPRESENT2016SH for a 10% discount. If you can't make it to the actual race, there is a remote option too so you can run it virtually and still get the awesome swag. I'm pretty excited to run the race as I haven't been to San Jose. I'm looking forward to exploring the area.

As to the weekend, it is always harder when Hubby is away but I managed. Saturday, was the kiddos last basketball games of the season. They both did awesome and both improved. I'm proud of both of them and especially happy that they have fun and enjoy the game.

Check out these cute basketball cupcakes one of the moms made for the team.

We did manage some errands and I have to include this pic of 5 year old outside of Target. When they see one kid climbing up on those red balls, of course they have to do it too. If you look close enough, 6 year old is on the other red ball in the far distance. :)
On Sunday, I was hoping to get the kids outside for a family run but 5 year old's left leg was bothering him (it hurt and he was limping around first thing in the morning). I took a look and it was a little swollen so we pretty much stayed inside most of the day. Iced it and just had him stay off it as much as possible. Hubby thinks it's a bruise from his basketball game Saturday, but I find it weird that he seemed fine after his game. Anyway we will see.
That sums up my week! Linking this post up with HoHo Runs and MissSippiPiddlin for their Weekly Wrap.
Have a great week!
