Last Week's Workouts and Weekend Update 6/8-6/14

Here's a recap of last week's workouts:

Monday 6/8 - 2.24 mile walk.
Tuesday 6/9 - T25 Alpha Cardio and a nice walk in the evening.
Wednesday 6/10 - 6 mile run.
Thursday 6/11 - 2 mile jog/walk with the kiddos.
Friday 6/12 - Rest day.
Saturday 6/13 - 6 mile run with a friend.
Sunday 6/14 - 7.35 miles with friends.
Not a bad week of workouts! I'm enjoying running for fun and just running what I feel is right. I was also pretty happy this week when my 6 year old told me he wants to run a 5K, so we've started up running again together. I'm looking forward to more runs with the kiddos this summer.

As to the weekend, after my early morning 6 mile run with my friend Laurel, it was off to T-ball for the kiddos. It was the last game for my 4 year old so he also got his cool medal after his game.
6 year old had his T-ball game afterwards but his last game is next week.
Later in the afternoon, we took the kiddos to a pool party. One of Hubby's friends is moving so they had a fun get together for the kids.
They also had fun on the playground.
Sunday also started out with an early morning run. It was so pretty out. This is my favorite pic from our run.
Later in the morning we took the kiddos on a nice short hike. Goal was to get 2.5 miles in but we ended up doing 2 miles. This was another challenge for #hike2015 with @mtnmamatales @hikelikeawoman

They have these fun boardwalks for bikers and the kiddos loved running on them!

 Family Selfie during our hike.
After lunch, we headed out to pool, where we got to cool off and I had a great time relaxing.
That sums up the weekend! Linking this post up with Tara at Running N’ Reading for her Weekend Update.

  13. What a fun weekend, Sharon!! How exciting that one of your boys wants to do a 5K; I think that is so awesome. They are such active little guys, anyway; he won't have any trouble with this challenge! I love your running picture from Sunday; that is an amazing view and what a great place to run. Thanks so much for linking up with the blog again this week; hope yours is off to a great start!

  14. Thanks Tara! I was excited at the time my 5 year old said he wanted to do a 5K but since that run, he hasn't had the desire to run again. Well, the day he wanted to run, there were thunderstorms, so we'll see if he wants to go again. Hopefully he does. Thanks again for the linkup! :)

  15. Thanks Sherry! Yes, it's a trail at Mercer County Park, a nearby park in my area. It's nice because it's pretty big and there are both paved and dirt trails in the park.
