Shamrock'n Half Marathon Training Week 7: 2/12-2/18

Last week was a busy week with getting ready for me and Hubby's trip, Valentine's day, and our youngest son's birthday. I didn't get all my runs in last week as I had to move the long run to this week due traveling. I slacked on cross training again, but with how busy the week was, I'm ok with it. For those that don't follow me on Instagram or Twitter, I tagged along on Hubby's work trip to Japan. It's actually our first trip without the kiddos as my parents are taking care of the kids. :)

Here's a recap of what I did last week:

Monday 2/12 - Rest
Tuesday 2/13 - 10 minute warm up, 9x400's with 1 min recovery, 10 minute cool down. I walked the 1 minute recoveries. It was a tough workout and started out fast in the first two and by the last couple I was tired but I kept at it. So happy when I was done.
Wednesday 2/14 - 6 easy miles, 3 with a friend and 3 solo.
Thursday 2/15 - 45 minute run while my youngest biked.

Friday 2/16 - Rest day due to a busy day. Birthday for my now 7 year old.
Saturday 2/17 - Rest day due to travel to Japan.
Sunday 2/18 - Arrived in Japan and too tired to run but did lots of walking to adjust to new time zone.

It was quite the week with lots going on. The highlights were helping out in my youngest son's class for Valentine's day on Wednesday.
Friday was our youngest son's birthday. He turned 7 and had a blast with some of his friends. They enjoyed playing laser tag, shooting hoops, and playing video games.
Early Saturday morning, me and Hubby departed from San Francisco with a quick stop in Los Angeles before heading to Narita Airport in Japan. Below was my view for almost 11 hours. I did get to watch 3 movies so the time actually flew by which was great.
Due to the time change (have to add 7 hours from Pacific Time Zone) we lost most of Sunday but at least we'll gain it back on the way home. Be sure and check back next week on how my trip in Japan went!
That pretty much sums up my week! Linking this post up with HoHo Runs and Taking the Long Way Home for their Weekly Wrap.
Have a great week!
