Last Week's Workouts and Weekly Wrap 5/8-5/14

It was a great week of workouts. I can't seem to take more than a day off from running and when friends want to go run I can never say no. I got in some good runs and even got in a T25 workout. I forgot how hard T25 can be and I'm hoping to do more of those types of workouts while not having a training schedule right now.

Here's a recap of what I did last week:

Monday 5/8 - Rest
Tuesday 5/9 - 5 miles
Wednesday 5/10 - 4 miles with a friend.
Thursday 5/11 - 4.75 miles with a friend.
Friday 5/12 - T25 workout and 3 miles easy.
Saturday 5/13 - Rest
Sunday 5/14 - 10 miles with a friend.
As to the weekend, it started out with the kiddos soccer games on Friday night. It's always fun watching them play. Can't believe just one more game left for AYSO spring soccer.
Saturday was a nice relaxing day. I got to sleep in and the only thing scheduled was a birthday party in the afternoon for 7 year old and even with that we dropped him off. While he was at the party, we (me, Hubby, and 6 year old) went to play some tennis. It was fun getting back on the court. I had not played in a long while so it was nice to rally with Hubby again.
Sunday was Mother's Day. I hope all the moms had a great day. Mine started with an early morning run (which was great) and then the boys gave me their cards and I got this yummy donut from them. It was the perfect post run treat! :)
We then headed out to hike on the Walter's Hill Trail. All great until about after a mile in the clouds rolled in.
It started to rain and then we heard the thunder. Never good to be out with thunder and lightning so we hurried back to the car as fast as we could. We made it back safely to the car and decided to head to Napa for some wine tasting. :)
It turned out to be a great Mother's Day Treat. I had not been wine tasting in a long time (before kids was the last time) so it was fun to do again. We checked out some neat places like this one, Chateau Montelena Winery, that looked like a castle and had nice grounds to explore a little. We didn't have a plan but with the help of trusty google searches we went to three different places.
We tasted the wines at the Vincent Arroyo Winery. It was a lot of fun tasting their wines and seeing what we liked. Hubby and I both really liked their 2014 Bodega and bought a bottle. It was also neat because the kids had fun playing with one of the dogs of the owner of the winery, Rosie, so they were occupied and it made our tasting so much easier.
Wine = Perfect treat for Mother's day :)
We also got to explore and walk around the town of Calistoga. It's a cute little town.
That pretty much sums up my week! I'm getting excited for Bay to Breakers this coming weekend! It should a fun time with friends in San Francisco!!

Linking this post up with HoHo Runs and MissSippiPiddlin for their Weekly Wrap.
Have a great week!
