TBT Hiking Post - Olympic Peninsula Day 2: Second Beach, Ruby Beach, & Hoh Rain Forest

Today is Thursday so that means another Throwback Thursday post. Today's post takes us to day 2 of our trip to the Olympic Peninsula in WA. Here are pics from day 2 of our getaway weekend.

Olympic Peninsula – Second Beach, Ruby Beach, & the Hoh Rain Forest 08/24/09

On our second day in the Olympic Peninsula, we headed to Second Beach. To get to the beach we took a short hike down to the water.

The best thing I liked about the beach were the rocks or sea stacks and how you can walk out to them (when low tide) and see the little tide pools around them with starfish.
Last stop for the day, the Hoh Rainforest. We knew this was our baby's favorite as he was awake most of the time and really enjoyed looking at the trees.
These trees don't look so healthy but they still make for an interesting and cool picture.
So peaceful!
This was a great day! I definitely recommend these places if you ever think about going to the Olympic Peninsula!
