Seattle Rock 'N' Roll Half Marathon Training Week 1 4/4-4/10

Not a bad week of running after the Rock 'n' Roll San Francisco half marathon last weekend. If you missed my recap, you can check it out here. My next half marathon is Rock 'n' Roll Seattle in June! I'm pretty excited for this one because I'll be back in my hometown and my sister will be running it as well! I do have a 5K coming up, Stride for Aggie Pride that the fam will be doing on 4/24 and also Bay to Breakers coming up on 5/15 but both will be treated as fun runs. :)

Here's a recap of last week's workouts:

Monday 4/4 - rest
Tuesday 4/5 - short bike ride with 5 year old
Wednesday 4/6 - 4.6 miles with a friend
Thursday 4/7 - 2 mile run with 6 year old
Friday 4/8 - 5 miles with friends
Saturday 4/9 - rest
Sunday 4/10 - 9 mile long run
The weekend was good. Saturday I helped out with 5 year old's preschool rummage sale. I was co-coordinator and had to be there pretty much the whole time, from 6am for setup until about 1:30pm for break down, so it was a very long morning for me. It was fun doing something for the school and the sale was a success because we made quite a bit. So glad because it all goes to the school.
However, I was pretty tired afterwards. We did end up doing some errands - Costco and Home Depot, before finally relaxing at home.

On Sunday, 6 year old had soccer in the morning. I had thought about getting my long run in before soccer but ended up sleeping in. Not enough sleep the last few nights caught up and I just couldn't get myself to wake up early again. Btw, 6 year old did great in his soccer game.
I ended up getting my 9 mile long run in the afternoon.  It went well, but not gonna lie, it almost didn't happened because I just wasn't feeling like running after lunch. I was in the time to relax mode and just did not want to move. However, I knew I'd regret not running, so I went out and did it. Of course I'm happy I ran. I always feel better afterwards.
That sums up my week! Linking this post up with HoHo Runs and MissSippiPiddlin for their Weekly Wrap.
