Last Week's Workouts and Weekly Wrap 7/10-7/16

It's been another good week of runs and workouts. I'm happy I got in two cross-training workouts with the girls and a really good 7 mile run on Thursday! I'm not sure how much running I'll get in next week as we are on a road trip to both Tetons and Yellowstone National Park along with visiting Hubby's mom in Utah. I'm excited for this fun adventure!

Here's a recap of last week's workouts:

Monday 7/10 - Rest
Tuesday 7/11 - 4.5 miles with a friend
Wednesday 7/12 - 4.5 miles with friends and a cross training workout.
Thursday 7/13 - Tagged along on a friend's workout. We did 2 mile w/u, 3 miles tempo (8:30, 8:28, 8:10), and 2 mile c/d for a total of 7 miles!
Friday 7/14 - Cross training workout at the track with some laps in between. Lots of core exercises which was great. Got in a total of 1.5 miles on the track.
Saturday 7/15 - Swim with the fam at hotel pool in Elko. I was able to get a few laps in. Swimming laps is hard for me!
Sunday 7/16 - Rest. I was hoping to get a run in but I just didn't have the time to. We started late driving so it was hard to get it in.

As to the weekend, we started our road trip Saturday morning. We got a later start than we hoped but made it to Elko, Nevada in the afternoon, after about 6.5 hours of driving plus a stop for lunch. When we got to our hotel, the Best Western in Elko, we took the fam for a dip in the pool and I got a few laps in.

After hitting the pool, we took a drive to the Ruby Mountain Wilderness Area a part of Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest. It's such a beautiful area!
We drove to some view points and to where the road ended through Lamoille Canyon. There is a trailhead there and we checked out part of it.
We didn't have time to explore a full trail but we hope to come back another time!

On Sunday, we drove from Elko to Driggs, Idaho. It was another day of mostly driving.
We did stop at a view point where we got nice views of the Snake River.
The pic below is from the Teton Valley Overlook in Idaho. We were excited whenever we caught glimpses of the Tetons on the road since that is our destination on Monday. We'll be on a backpacking adventure in Tetons National Park. :)
That pretty much sums up my week! Linking this post up with HoHo Runs and MissSippiPiddlin for their Weekly Wrap. This week's new Guest Host for the Weekly Wrap to give Holly and Tricia a break is Janelle from Run With No Regrets. Please be sure and check out her blog!

Have a great week!
