Last Week's Workouts and Weekly Wrap 7/3-7/9

It was another busy week! I'm happy that I got in some good runs in even while away in Seattle. We took a short trip to celebrate my dad's 70th birthday. It was a surprise party so it was fun to see his reaction. It is always good going back to the Seattle area. I don't have any races scheduled until October but I will be running my second full marathon, CIM in December and I will start training in a couple of weeks.

Here's a recap of what I did last week:

Monday 7/3 - 2 mile run.
Tuesday 7/4 - 5 miles with a friend.
Wednesday 7/5 - Basketball and soccer with the kids and a short core workout.
Thursday 7/6 - 5 miles with a friend plus 5 strides.
Friday 7/7 - 3 mile run.
Saturday 7/8 - Rest
Sunday 7/9 - 9.5 mile long run with my sister Sherry. It's always nice running with her!
On to non running related activities, it was a fun week with 4th of July on Tuesday. It was great to start the morning with a run, then it was off to some fun activities with the kids. We went to the kiddie parade in downtown Davis for the first time. It was a fun time with friends.
The kids also participated in their first bike race.
In the evening we went to the pool and watched the fireworks from there.
On Thursday night we arrived in Seattle and Friday was spent at the beach and park. The boys had a blast with their cousins.
Hubby and I got to go out Friday night and spend time with some good friends. We had fun catching up.
Saturday was our dad's 70th surprise party. It was a success and he was definitely surprised. There were 79 guests that included family and many of his closest friends. It was a great time!
On Sunday, we did a lot of site seeing with family that had not been to Seattle for a while. We took them to the Ballard Locks.
We took them to the Seattle Center and Space Needle.
The boys loved this playground! It is pretty cool with lots of climbing and steep slides.
We also took our relatives to Pike Place Market. It was a busy day but a fun one! It was great spending time with family all weekend!
That pretty much sums up my week! Linking this post up with HoHo Runs and MissSippiPiddlin for their Weekly Wrap. This week's new Guest Host for the Weekly Wrap to give Holly and Tricia a break is Into The Glimmer.
Have a great week!
