Bulu Box Review + Discount Code

As a Sweatpink Ambassador I was given the opportunity to try a Bulu Box free of charge through Fit Approach. All opinions are my own.

I had not tried a Bulu Box before so I was pretty excited when it arrived. For those that don't know what a Bulu Box is, it's a subscription box service where each month subscribers receive a box filled with 4-5 samples from top brands to try. They are health, nutrition, and weight loss based samples and the sizes are sufficient to decide whether they are right for you or not.

These are the items I received in my box.
They are:
Quest Protein Powder Peanut Butter Flavor
I have tried Quest Nutrition Bars and am a fan of their Chocolate Chip Cookie dough flavored bars, so I was excited to try this protein powder. I made a smoothie by adding a banana, some almond milk, and the protein powder and it turned out ok. I probably should have added some ice to make it cooler, but ended up putting it in the freezer to chill it. Tasted pretty good once cold. If you like peanut butter definitely try this powder! I probably will not buy this flavor only because I'm not a huge PB fan. However, I would definitely try another Quest Protein Powder flavor.

Yerba Prima Daily Fiber Formula
This daily fiber formula is to help improve digestion to rid your body of excess waste and is to keep your system running smoothly. I did not try this sample out as I don't really need a fiber supplement at this time (I'm a pretty regular #2er in the mornings and Hubby makes fun of me at times for that, sorry if it's TMI). That and I noticed a warning label. I did not like that it contains a product known to the State of California to cause birth defects or other reproductive harm.

Movit Energy Gummies
I tried these gummies on my 10 mile long run last Saturday and was pleasantly surprised. I have not tried gummies on a run before thinking it would be hard to chew while running, but it wasn't hard at all and they reminded me of gummy bears. The gummies have power-boosting ingredients like guarana, CoQ10, and folic acid to help with fatigue and performing your best. I actually felt pretty good after eating them. This is something I wouldn't mind having on long runs in the future.

Mediterra Bars
I got the Sundried Tomato & Basil bar. It's an all-natural bar with nutrient rich ingredients. It's made with real fruits and vegetables paired with fiber-grains and seeds to create a healthier snack option. I tried this one and did not like the taste. Maybe because I'm just not used to sundried tomato in a bar. I believe they have other bars, and I think I would rather try their bars with fruit instead.
Earth's Care Anti-Itch Cream
This came in very handy because the day before I got the box, I had gotten a mosquito bite while geocaching with the kiddos. I put a dab on the bite and it did relieve the pain and itching for a while. I really like that it contains no artificial colors or fragrances. It can also be used for poison ivy, sunburn, and minor cuts and scrapes. Great product because it helped relieve the itching on my mosquito bite!

I really like the idea of trying out samples each month of new products. That way you can find out if you really like a product or not without having to buy a full size package. There have been many times when I've tried something hoping it was good, but ended up throwing it out because after actually trying it, didn't like the taste or it just did not work out for me. In this box, there were only a couple of things that I would actually buy, but that's the idea of the box. To get an idea of what you like and to try new things.

If you are interested in the subscription service, Bulu Box is giving my readers 50% off a 3, 6, or 12 month subscription. So a pretty awesome deal, making it only $5 per box. Just use the code SWEATPINK when you checkout.

Every sample in a Bulu Box is also available in full size in the Bulu shop on Bulubox.com. One of the benefits of a Bulu subscription is their rewards program. Each month subscribers can take a quick sample survey about the sample in their box in exchange for 10 reward points each, so 50 reward points for 5 samples. For every 50 reward points, you get $5 to use toward the purchase of any full-size product on Bulubox.com.

I think it's a great deal if you enjoy discovering new products! Better to try them out in a sample size rather than wasting money on a full size product. What do you think? Have you tried a subscription service before?
