Brooklyn RnR Half Marathon Training Week 5 & Weekly Wrap 8/10-8/16

Here's a recap of last week's workouts:

Monday 8/10 - Rest
Tuesday 8/11- T25 Total Body Circuit and 1 hour on the DeskCycle.
Wednesday 8/12 - 5 mile run.
Thursday 8/13 - Rest but lots of walking at Hershey Park.
Friday 8/14 - Rest but lots of walking at Hershey Park.
Saturday 8/15 - 5 mile run.
Sunday 8/16 - 10 miles total. Broke it up and ran 5 miles solo and 5 miles with a friend.
This was another so so week of training for the Brooklyn Rock n Roll Half Marathon in October. I did miss my 3 mile run due to thunderstorms in the forecast, but I did get some much needed cross training in. I am hoping to use the DeskCycle a lot more since it's so easy and convenient to use.

We ended up going to Hershey Park on Thursday and Friday so that messed up my scheduled 5 miler on Friday, but I did make it up on Saturday. Hershey Park was a blast! The kiddos loved it, and of course I did too. We went last year and I wrote a post about it here. This year we went as part of 6 year old's birthday present. It's nice when they get older because 6 year old got to do so many more rides and was even brave enough to do his first roller coaster with a loop. They loved the rides!
We all also enjoyed the water park area too!
This week should be back to normal as we don't have any more trips planned, thank goodness as it has been a busy past couple of weeks. :)

I'm hoping to follow my training schedule for this week a lot better than last week:
Saturday, I got in my 10 miler. So glad I did 5 miles solo before I met up with my friend that wanted to do 5 miles. It was a HOT day! She got this great pic of me.
Not much else exciting went on this weekend unless you count shopping for paint and painting the bedroom. Oh we did meet up with a real estate agent and are hoping to get our condo listed by Sept. 1st. She said positive things about our place, so hopefully it will sell fast!

That sums up my weekend. Linking this post up with HoHo Runs and MissSippiPiddlin for their Weekly Wrap. Have a great week!
