5 Miler and the Pacific Science Center

Got in a nice 5 mile run this morning on the Burke Gilman trail. I wasn't sure how it would go because my legs were feeling a bit sore. I guess it's not the best idea to run down Rattlesnake ledge with your 5 year old after doing 11 miles the day before. ;)

I managed pretty well and it wasn't until the last mile that my legs felt a little heavier. The run ended going uphill so that didn't help either but I finished and was happy with today's run.

After my run this morning, we ventured to downtown Seattle.
Space Needle
Took the kids to the Pacific Science Center with their cousin and Auntie. The Pacific Science Center is a pretty cool place with lots of interesting exhibits and fun activities for the kids to do. We didn't get a chance to see everything, but what we saw, the kids loved and had a blast!
We saw dinosaurs!
Played with water.
Saw butterflies in the Tropical Butterfly House. This was my favorite part because there are butterflies all over and they can even land on you. One even landed on my Sister-in-Law's phone.

We also checked out the Planetarium show, which my 5 year old said was his favorite. I had never been to a Planetarium so I thought it was neat to look up and see all the stars. They did a little scenario about flying to the moon that could have been better, but other than that it was pretty good. Hubby wished there was more about the stars and constellations rather than the silly scenario and I agree.

Outside were a few cool play things for the kids, like these guns that sprayed water.
And this human water wheel.
I really enjoyed the Pacific Science Center and so did the kids. I definitely recommend this place and would definitely go back, especially since we did not see all the exhibits during this visit.
