Boson Sport Jump Rope Review and Cardio/Strength Training Workout

I was provided the opportunity to receive this product without charge in exchange for my honest review. I was excited when I received the Boson Sport Jump Rope because I remember how much I enjoyed jumping rope when I was younger.
The instructions on fit and re-sizing were on the back.
The rope was definitely too long so I had to adjust the size. It was actually pretty easy once I figured out that you had to unscrew and twist the handle to open it up. You just need to separate the black piece and move the slider down to the length you want and then slide pieces together and screw it back on.
From the directions it says you can cut the rope with scissors, I tried only because I wanted it to fit easily back into the handle, but it's impossible with a regular scissor (at least for me). Not a big deal as I got the rope in without having to cut it. The jump rope is neat though because my husband can use this rope as well since it is so easy to adjust the size.

Now to test the rope out. I didn't get my workout in yet, so I searched Pinterest for some workouts that included a jump rope. I found this one from Popsugar, a Cardio and Strength Training Mashup, and gave it a try.
What a workout!!
I was left drenched and had to stop a few times for water breaks. Jump roping is tougher than I remember. It was a great workout, just tough! :p

As to the jump rope, it works well! The rope is lightweight and comfortable. It has a nice design and I like the colors (gray & turquoise). The handles are nice and soft, just what I needed for a good grip. They worked well for the cardio and strength training mashup. No tangling, so I was happy. Great jump rope and gets the job done! I will definitely be using this jump rope more with the great workouts I know I can get from using it.
Do you enjoy jumping rope?

  1. Skipping reminds me of being in elementary school at recess! Although I haven't done it in years, I used to include it in workouts when I was in high school. It looks like an intense workout.
