My Vision Board

It's Tuesday and I am linking up with hosts Jessica Joy and Jill Conyers for their The Fit Dish Link-Up every Tuesday.
Today's topic is to create a Vision Board to keep you motivated. When I saw the topic, I thought what is a vision board? I had never heard of it before. It must have to do with your goals and visions for the future? I was sort of on the right track. After a quick Google search, I found that a vision board is:
"a collage of images, pictures, and affirmations of your dreams, goals, and things that make you happy. It can also be called a dream board, treasure map, or vision map. Creating a vision board can be a useful tool to help you conceptualize your goals and can serve as a source of motivation as you work towards achieving your dreams." - wikiHow

It was actually a lot of fun creating my board. Pinterest makes it real easy! Here is my vision board.
To break it down:

-Family is the focal point as family is important. They make me happy and I do my best to make them happy.

-I hope to volunteer more.

-I hope to travel more. There are so many places we have on our bucket list. Hope to do at least one fun trip this year!

-Keep on running, hiking and working out. Keep on being strong and working hard. I hope to do a full marathon someday. I would also really like to learn to swim better so one day I can do a triathlon.

-A goal for the year is to eat better. Get more clean eating in and learn new recipes

-Lastly, something I am looking forward to is to finally settle down in a permanent location. Right now with Hubby's work, we know we probably will not be in Princeton permanently, we are at the step where he is applying for jobs and hopefully this year will be the year we move to our new place where we will settle for years and years. We would love to buy a home and get a new car. Dreams right? :)

What would you put on your vision board?

  15. Your vision board looks great!! I haven't made mine for the year yet, but I really want to get on it! My big goal for the year is to complete an Olympic distance triathlon, and to really take my training seriously, like an athlete would :) I have a lot of other business goals I'd like to include on there as well. When I made last year's I hung it over my bed and I'm proud to say I accomplished every goal on there! Good luck to you!

  26. Very Nice! It looks like we share some of the same goals. The one thing that really spoke to me though was the quote "No one can fo everything but everybody can do something." I'll have to remember that.

  28. Loving your vision board! I had one around my desk, but then we took down the corkboard and it was kind of willy nilly all over the place so it is gone now, but excited for it to hopefully come back one day!
