Here's a recap of last week's workouts:

Monday 5/2 - Rest
Tuesday 5/3 - 4.65 miles with friends.
Wednesday 5/4 - 5 miles with a friend.
Thursday 5/5 - 3.1 miles.
Friday 5/6 - T25 Beat Rip't Circuit.
Saturday 5/7 - 7 miles with a friend.
Sunday 5/8 - Rest day.

It's been another decent week of runs. I did get a session of some strength training in so I'm happy, but I know I should do workouts like that more often. I'm hoping these books will help keep me on track. Thanks to rock'n'blog and velopress for the books. I'm especially excited about the strength training book.
As to the weekend, it was a busy one. My mother-in-law and her boyfriend were in town visiting all weekend. Saturday morning started off with my 7 mile long run with my friend Lenora. We ran at a fast pace (at least for me) and I felt great afterwards. It was really nice because after cleaning up, we headed out to breakfast with the fam. We took my mother-in-law and her boyfriend to the Black Bear Diner and afterwards to the Farmer's Market.
We then headed to the Arboretum trail.Even though the weather wasn't great, they didn't mind and were prepared for some light rain.
It's always nice walking along the arboretum. We took them to the Redwood trees part and then did a loop back through campus.
On campus we saw that there was some sort of festival going on with a bunch of tents and vendors.
After exploring downtown and campus, we headed back home since 6 year old had a classmate's birthday party to go to. The kiddos had a blast.
We ended the night with some yummy Sushi at Zen Toro. Unfortunately, I didn't get a pic but it was some of the best sushi we've had in Davis.

Sunday was Mother's day and the boys rushed in and gave me the cards they made along with hugs and kisses. It was great. Hubby planned an early lunch at a Dim Sum place in Sacramento. It was pretty good. It was fun taking my Mother-in-law and her boyfriend as they haven't really had Dim Sum. I think they enjoyed it. The selection was great and the food was good!
We then visited Old Sacramento. It's a cool place to visit and reminds you of how the old West was back in the day.
Overall, it was a great Mother's Day. Got to spend it with Hubby's mom
and the boys made me feel pretty special. So thankful to have these little guys. :)
This upcoming Sunday is Bay to Breakers! I'm excited to be running another race in the Bay area and I'm looking forward to running it with friends. I've heard it's a huge race and it will be fun to finally experience it.

That sums up my week! Linking this post up with HoHo Runs and MissSippiPiddlin for their Weekly Wrap.
Have a great week!
