Last Week's Workouts and Weekly Wrap 12/5-12/11

It's been another great week of running and workouts without any sort of plan. The run streak is going strong and I'm actually enjoying it. With it being December I've been thinking about races for next year. If you saw my post on IG, I even signed up for next year's marathon! :)

Here's a recap of last week's workouts:

Monday 12/5 - 2 miles for day 12 of #rwrunstreak and a good tabata workout with friends.
Tuesday 12/6 - 5 miles for day 13 of #rwrunstreak. It was during this run that I was thinking about CIM and how inspiring spectating that race was. I knew I wanted to do this marathon some time so I checked if registration was open and it was and for a special price, so I went and registered. I am running my 2nd full marathon next year in Sacramento!
Wednesday 12/7 - Strength/core workout and 2 miles with the kiddos for day 14 of #rwrunstreak.
Thursday 12/8 - 4.5 miles for day 15 of #rwrunstreak.
Friday 12/9 - 1 mile for day 16 of #rwrunstreak.
Saturday 12/10 - 3 miles for day 17 of #rwrunstreak.
Sunday 12/11 - 8 mile long run for day 18 of #rwrunstreak.
As to the weekend, a lot of the it was doing errands or just hanging out around the house. Saturday was a rainy day so we stayed indoors most of it. The highlights of the weekend were fun Christmas activities. The first was checking out some of the Christmas lights in a nearby neighborhood. It was neat seeing how some people decorated their homes for the holidays.
Sunday night, we headed to Old Sacramento to check out the Theatre of Lights show. But first we came across the Polar Express train. We didn't have tickets for it but checked out their display train. They even had a section for kids to write letters to Santa. The boys both wrote theirs (well 5 year old dictated his letter to Hubby). It was a fun thing for them to do.
We then hung out for the Theatre of Lights show. It turned out to be a neat 20 minute production that includes a reading of "T'was the Night Before Christmas" and appearances by Jack Frost and of course Santa. The kiddos favorite part was the fake snow that dropped on us.
Overall a neat outing in Old Sac. We don't visit there often so the show was a great excuse to visit the area.
That pretty sums up my week. Linking this post up with HoHo Runs and MissSippiPiddlin for their Weekly Wrap.
Have a great week!
