Last Week's Workouts and Weekly Wrap 12/12-12/18

It's been another good week of running and workouts! The strength training workouts have been tough and have left my arms sore both times so it's been great working on muscles I haven't been using in a while. The run streak is still going strong so I'm happy about that. I can't believe that Christmas is already coming up next weekend! I'm excited to see my family for the holiday!

Here's a recap of last week's workouts:

Monday 12/12 - 3.42 miles with a friend for day 19 of #rwrunstreak and then a good tabata and abs workout.
Tuesday 12/13 - 1 mile for day 20 of the #rwrunstreak.
Wednesday 12/14 - 5 miles with a friend for day 21 of #rwrunstreak.
Thursday 12/15 - 2.2 miles for day 22 of #rwrunstreak and a good strength workout at a friend's place.
Friday 12/16 - Fast 5K for day 23 of #rwrunstreak.
The 5K also earned me my running shoe medal for the Rock'n'Roll Winter Runningland virtual run. There's one more virtual run left, the earmuff's medal running 12/19-12/31 and you can check it out here. These virtual runs are great motivators to run and I can't wait to get the bling! :)

Saturday 12/17 - 10 mile long run with a friend for day 24 of #rwrunstreak.
Sunday 12/18 - 1 mile for day 25 of #rwrunstreak.
As to the weekend, it was good. Saturday was very busy. We did a hike with 7 year old's Cub Scout troop at Rockville Hills Regional park. It was a beautiful day for hiking and it was really nice to just be outdoors. With the rain during most of last week, getting outside was so so nice.
After the hike, we headed home and I baked cookies for the cookie exchange and caroling party we were going to in the evening. I somehow forgot to take a picture of the cookies I baked, but they were yummy m&m cookies. The party was so much fun. The boys decorated cookies and then did the cookie exchange, so they had a nice variety of cookies to take home.
My favorite part of the night was caroling. It was our first time doing so and it was a blast. The kids sang Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer or Jingle Bells and it was so much fun. They were experts at singing Rudolph by the end of the night. The reactions we got were priceless. It was especially fun seeing kids at the houses we went to and their reactions. It was a blast. I think we spread some awesome Christmas cheer throughout the neighborhood.
Sunday morning, 7 year old had a 3 game basketball tournament that was fun to watch.
The tournament was about 3 hours of our morning and ended around lunch time. The rest of the day we spent relaxing and doing some errands. That pretty sums up my week. Linking this post up with HoHo Runs and MissSippiPiddlin for their Weekly Wrap.
Have a great week!
