Yummy Eats While Visiting the Seattle Area & Vicinity

I think that I mentioned that I ate way too much while we were in Seattle. I just could not help it, as I missed a lot of the food from there. Some things are just not the same over here in Central Jersey when it comes to food, or maybe I'm just used to the food on the West Coast, because it just does not taste the same over here (well at least some things).

In no particular order, I will be telling you about some of the yummy places we visited on our trip. Some of the places, we visited for the first time, but are still worth mentioning as the food was pretty darn good! All opinions are my own. Enjoy the pics! :)

Diamond Knot Brewpub in Mountlake Terrace What I liked about the Diamond Knot Brewpub was that it was a family friendly restaurant. We went there to meet up with some of hubby's friends and their kids. I loved how they let us choose 4 beer samples for free. I can't remember exactly which I got, I think it was the blond ale, and it was good! I also liked how the menu had a variety of choices and the options were creative. Not your usual menu items like their Chicken & Waffle and Knot Head Nacho Burger. I ended up getting their Fun Guy burger and hubby got their Stoned Reuben sandwich. My burger was yummy and huge! Loved it!

Yeh Yeh's Vietnamese Sandwiches is a favorite of mine! They have two restaurants, one in Lynnwood and another in Bellevue. They definitely have the best Banh Mi sandwiches in WA! I usually get the grilled pork sandwich. The bread is yummy and has the perfect crunch and it is filled with pickled veggies. Just make sure that if you don't want the jalapeno pepper in it, let them know, and they will make it without it. They also have soup. We went on a Thursday and they had a special soup. It was so good!

Pochi Lifestyle Cafe in Lynnwood is my favorite bubble tea in the North end. I love their bubble tea because they use real fruit in their smoothies, not just powder. They also have a variety of flavors to choose from. My favorites are mixed berry and strawberry banana. Other family members have gotten their avocado and watermelon shakes. I also like to have the little tapioca balls added in them as I really like that they are soft and chewy, adds a nice touch to my smoothie. It was nice because the little cafe is really close to my parents house. We stopped by multiple times while visiting. It was that good! Kiddos loved it too!

Din Tai Fung Dumpling House was a place I had never been to located in Bellevue. We went on a weekday to meet up with a friend for lunch. We got there right before it opened at 11am and there was a line. It's that popular! It is a family friendly restaurant which was nice. They even had cute plates for the kids and cups with neat loop straws. The Juicy Pork dumplings are definitely yummy. Loved how they are juicy. We tried the shrimp and pork shao mai, sauteed string bean with garlic, and the chicken fried noodle.  Everything tasted great, the only thing I did not like was the price. Everything is a bit pricey for my liking. Definitely recommend as it's a very nice restaurant. It's just not somewhere I would go often.
Frost Doughnuts located in Mill Creek, has some yummy doughnuts. They are good, but they are also pretty pricey. We went here to get the apple fritter doughnut for my Dad for Father's Day. It's his favorite. I'm still a fan of the chocolate frosted and it's good, but not that great for the price. I would only go to Frost for the special ones on their menu.
Hosoonyi Korean Restaurant located in Edmonds is a really good Korean Restaurant. Hubby really likes this place! I really like their Boolgogi, their Jop Chae, and Korean pancake! We also tried their Mackerel and soup. I'm not much of a soup fan, but everyone else liked it. :)
I mentioned Ivar's in an earlier post. We went there before the Seattle Rock and Roll Half Marathon Expo. It's on the Waterfront in Downtown Seattle and the perfect atmosphere for Fish and Chips. If you love seafood you have to eat at Ivar's. They've got the best fish and chips, along with their clam chowder. We skipped on the clam chowder this time, but got their Fish and Chips along with their Fried Clams. Sooo good!!
North Bend Bar and Grill in North bend, is my favorite place to go after a hike on I-90. We ended up going here after our visit to Snoqualmie Falls. They have the best mushroom, bacon burger with bbq sauce!! It's called the Trail Burger and it is so yummy!!! Love it and wish they had a burger like that over here. I'm sure there is something like that here on the East coast, I just haven't found it yet.
Taste of India  located in Seattle on Roosevelt Way is my favorite Indian food Restaurant! I have missed it ever since we moved to New Jersey so it was really nice to go back. Hubby and I both love their bottomless Chai. We also love their Spinach Naan. My favorite dish there is the Butter Chicken Masala or the Chicken Tikka Masala. Hubby got one, while I got the other. It was so yummy! Just typing this is making me hungry for it.

Haiku Sushi & Seafood Buffet located in Redmond is pretty good! I love Sushi, so whenever there is a time when I can eat as much good sushi as I want, I am there! Haiku is not bad! Lots of Sushi to choose from along with hot foods. The hot foods is not as good as other buffets I've been to, but the Sushi is pretty good. I definitely got my money's worth. The kiddos loved the desserts. They had ice cream, but the main attraction was the chocolate fountain where you could dip strawberries. I even enjoyed it. I can't count how many chocolate covered strawberries I ate, but it was quite a bit. :)
Mmmmm all this good food! I definitely recommend you try these places out if you are in the Seattle Area or Vicinity. Just looking at all these pictures of yummy food is making me crave it.

What is your favorite food or restaurant?
