Half Marathon Training Week 5: 8/11 - 8/17

Here's a recap of last week's workouts:

Monday 8/11 - Rest
Tuesday 8/12 - 4 mile run at the gym on the treadmill.

Wednesday 8/13 - 7x400's at 5K pace on the treadmill. Felt really good! This is the fastest I've ran on a treadmill!
Thursday 8/14 - 3 mile run on the treadmill and some strength training.
Friday 8/15 - Rest
Saturday 8/16 - 8 mile long run with my friend Laurel. Felt pretty good. It was nice because we did a lot of catching up! :)
Sunday 8/17 - Rest

This week of half marathon training went well! The only thing lacking from my training was some T25. I didn't really have the urge to do it this week, that and I was pretty busy. I know I shouldn't use time as an excuse because the workouts are only 25 minutes, but sometimes when you don't feel it, you just don't. Maybe I'll at least get one in this week! :)

  1. Great week of running! Love that you get some strength in there too. I died this week - at a fitness conference and in three days participated in 7 workouts. I say 'participated' because after the first three, I was pretty done for. Still sore.

  4. Girly, you inspire me! I need to get myself in gear. Saturday I went out for a trail run but realized my planned trail was closed! I took the opportunity to get in some hill work... Then I killed about a million calories with my family at an amazing steakhouse, haha! Oh well, it's a new week!
