Half Marathon Training Week 11: 9/22-9/28

Here's a recap of last week's workouts:

Monday 9/22 - PiYo Sweat

Tuesday 9/23 - Unexpected 10K today. Training called for 5 miles but did a 10K with some friends from the local Moms Run This Town Chapter I belong to. The miles went by fast with these ladies as we talked pretty much the whole way! A fun time!

Wednesday 9/24 - Got some speed work in. 10x400's at 5K pace and also added a jog for some extra mileage to get to 4 miles for Ollie's Virtual 4 mile run
Thursday 9/25 - 3 mile run on the treadmill
Friday 9/26 - PiYo Strength Intervals
Saturday 9/27 - 12 mile long run with my friend Laurel.
Sunday 9/28 - Rest day but took advantage for the great weather and went on a nice hike with the Fam at Hacklebarney State Park.

The Wineglass Half Marathon is almost here! Next Sunday I will be running the streets of Corning, NY. I think I am ready. I know I can run the whole thing, it's just a matter of if I will PR. I'm hoping I do, but I don't want to stress myself over it. I'll be happy if I do, and ok if I don't. Guess we shall see come Sunday. :)

How was your week?

  1. Good luck! I'm trying to stay in the "I just want it to be a fun race" mind frame for my upcoming race, but you know a PR is always in the back of your mind! :-)

  3. Funny, I just commented on your blog! Yeah, I hope it doesn't rain on either day! We were hoping to go to Watkins Glen on Saturday. But I guess it just depends on how the weather is.
